The quality of our work and products is maintained because we have direct control of each step of production, from selection, sawing, drying and processing into products used by our customers.  Controlling the complete cycle of production from standing trees or logs into quality lumber, flooring, paneling, trim and moulding, panels, tops, mantles and more meeting each customer’s specific needs.  During harvesting we are careful to protect and promote healthy timber growth and forest preservation for future generations.

Sawing of our logs is done utilizing a band mill to increase yield and decrease waste.  Custom sawing of your logs, to your specifications or for the best yield is available.  We can provide green lumber for agricultural use, truck and trailer floors and much more.  Dried lumber is produced in our dehumidification kiln to standard of 6-8% moisture content.  Utilizing a steamer, to equalize the moisture throughout the boards to improve workability and stability is performed as needed at the end of each drying cycle. Keeping 500-1000 board feet of the most popular kiln dried species we work to maximize yield and decrease waste carefully selecting lumber for you or will let you select your own.  Lumber can be resized, with our straight-line rip saw and 24 inch thickness planer, for your needs.  We are also able to profile lumber with multiple styles of moulding knives used in a shaper, small profile planer or 5 head moulding machine.  Matching existing trim or profiles is also available, by bringing in or sending a sample we can figure a cost for you.

Starting in 1968, as a side line of a trucking company ( Jim hauling logs and lumber for others), Quality Hardwoods has grown over its 40 years of business from a small 12 inch planer and chainsaw to the full service business it is today!
